Gerties Goatery LW PeachesNCrm "Peaches"
Born: March 26, 2014
ADGA Registration # GN1790276 (NOA)
Sire: Licorice (Nubian, not registered)
Dam: Nutmeg (Nubian, not registered)
Peaches is one of Nutmeg's kids. When Peaches was born she had trouble walking at first, her leg must have been in an odd position prior to birth. She had difficulty standing the first few days so my Step-Dad, Doug made a splint for her and I would help steady her when she was nursing on Nutmeg. Nutmeg being such a great goat stood still and even lifted her leg out the way to make it easier for Peaches to reach. Within a week or so she was walking just fine and today you wouldn't even know that Peaches had any issues at birth.
Peaches is the tallest goat I own. She has a nice build and her udder is easy to milk. She is rather calm too and doesn't seem to mind too much when I need to trim her hooves or give her some vaccinations. She definitely has Nutmeg's calm and relaxed demeanor.
