Nutmeg is the best goat I have owned! She was born on the farm in May of 2011. She was the last kid born my first season of kidding. From the moment she was born I knew she was going to be my favorite goat. I love her personality and her mothering instincts. She tries to "help" me with various tasks in the pen whether it is cleaning the houses or give vaccinations to the herd. She is usually there watching my every move and snorts at me when she doesn't agree with something I am doing. Needless to say I used to get snorted at a lot the first few years.
Nutmeg has been a mom 5 years now and has given me 8 beautiful kids. She is very tentative to her kids and sometimes I swear she is yelling at them in goat language cause they stop what they were doing and put their head down. I think she produces a "super" milk that she gives her kids. They seem to grow bigger and faster than any of the others each year. I think Peaches has this "super" milk too as Pie grew very quickly when she was born. I hope Sunni got these genes from Nutmeg too!
The farm is Nutmeg's eternal home and I hope she lives many more years with us! We love you Nutmeg!!!!
