Gerties Goatery Vanilla Bean "Beanie"
Born: June 1, 2016
ADGA Registration #AN1802317
Sire: LFMD Aphrodite's Duncan N1712876
Dam: Ciavarella Haven Sophia AN1703309
Beanie was born in 2016 and that was the year I was naming the kids based off of ice cream flavors. At birth she had a gray color to her goat that reminded me of the vanilla bean so that is how she got her name. Wow has she changed a lot in the first year of her life! She has a very unique coat like Razzie has and she is sporting a white belt that wraps around her. When I bred her mother Sophie with Duncan I wasn't sure what the kids would look like. I was quite surprised at the number of spots both kids had and how much they popped when you looked at either kid. Sophie had some really nice bloodlines and a nice udder. I am hoping she has passed those genes on to Beanie. I loved Beanie's personality and had no intention of keeping a kid but once I saw her and worked with her a few days I knew I should keep her. Problem was I didn't have a buck to breed her to. That was a bridge that I would need to cross another day...I have since got a 2nd buck for breeding, River, and he is fitting in nicely with the herd.
